《盒裝》的影像紀錄的是杜英男于2007年夏在上海的一段視覺經歷，或者說精神體驗。作品中的私密場景掌握在公共距離的許可下，卻又因鏡頭焦距的調節(jié)而情節(jié)曖昧、滋生疑問重重。
生活是一個盒子，杜英男打開自己的盒子的窗，用攝影沉默地分享了某一些人在某一晚、某一時刻的某一種生活的某一部分——透過他們的盒子上打開的窗，也許就是你我——捕捉和被捕捉、窺視和被窺視、紀錄和被記錄、甚至侵犯和被侵犯、分享和被迫分享、快感和羞恥感……在部分實景缺失卻更助想象蔓延的體驗里，我們都容易因暗自意會而迷戀某一種曖昧，心懷企圖。
杜英男的這組作品彌漫著一種晦澀的詩意，似曾相識的青春期無處宣泄的躁動感混合著成年后不堪孤獨的猥瑣與探尋，通過攝影在窺視中將思考浮出生活平面——令人倍生敬意。

三月畫廊介紹
德國知名的三月畫廊Felix Ringel將在本年度進駐中國北京——大山子798藝術區(qū)，作為開幕首展，三月畫廊隆重推出了頗具國際知名度的中國藝術家杜英男的攝影新作個展——《盒裝》。開幕式為4月6日周日，展覽跨越北京CIGE藝博會期間。
“是態(tài)度也是取向”—— 藝術總監(jiān)黎寧春解釋了為什么第一個展覽會選擇杜英男。“作為一家跨國畫廊，我們對藝術家的選擇很慎重，藝術家的創(chuàng)作語言必須是自我的，也是國際的。杜英男 是個具有實驗氣質的藝術家，他的創(chuàng)作沒有受限于表象的“中國”元素，選擇他，符合我們在歐洲一貫堅持的審美取向和經營品位。三月畫廊總部在德國的藝術之都杜塞爾多夫，是最早將中國當代藝術引入德國的畫廊之一。
以中國當代藝術為主，國際藝術家為輔，三月畫廊在北京的空間有兩個展廳：1號展廳做常規(guī)的展覽，2號展廳是一個概念空間——即一個展覽只展一個作品，參觀者只能通過玻璃墻與獨立空間中的作品進行交流。

Exhibition intro
"Boxed" is the image of the record with Du Yingnan in the summer of 2007 in Shanghai which section of the visual experience, or the experience of the spirit. Works of privacy from the public scene is in the permit, but because of lens focal length adjustment had ambiguous circumstances, breeding numerous queries. Life is a box, Du Yingnan opened himself window box with a photo of a silent sharing some people in a night, a moment of a certain kind of a part of life - through the open window on their box. Perhaps you and I - capture and captivity, the peep and peeped, the record and was recorded, and even violations and violations, sharing and forced to share, happiness and sense of shame - in some real loss was more help spread the experience of imagination , we are vulnerable to Tacit and secretly infatuated with a certain kind of ambiguous, harbor with attempt.

Mainly to china contemporary art, supplemented by international artists, Felix Ringel in Beijing has two exhibition spaces: the 1st prepared for groovy exhibition room, the 2nd exhibition space is a concept - that is only one exhibition show only one work. The public only through the glass wall and independent space to exchange with works.
